Traditional Baptist Chronicles
I'm on the Wake County visiting ministers list. I'll try to get in to see him today or tomorrow.
Tragic, absolutely heartbreaking and devastating. I hope further details shed light on the situation and that it is somehow less terrible than it appears now.
And to build on that, without more information, we don't know the story beyond what has been released by the police. We must not assume more than is in evidence. If repentance is called for, we can pray for that. If the situation is not what it seems at first glance (and, with four members of the family in various law enforcement venues, I know it often isn't), then there will be other things to pray for.
Sam,We can hope it isn't this bad (although things do look dark). God knows and we can pray either way. God be with you and give you the words and strength when you visit.Dan
Sam or SLW,I heard from Billy. If you would like to know a bit more, please email me. My address is available via my profile.God be with you,Dan
The email address listed in your profile is not working. Would you mind sending me something at firstname.lastname@example.org?
This broke my heart and caused me to pray more for the Holy Spirit to help us be a people of holiness and godliness. The world mocks the name of Christ when a fellow Christian falls into sin and this grieves the Spirit of God and my heart as well.
Same here. It hit me hard yesterday. I pray for the victim and for Billy's repentance and restoration but clearly he has many dark days ahead that only God can get him through. God be with you,Dan
Dan, the email link wasn't working yesterday.I did go by the county jail, but Billy had already bonded out, so I wasn't able to see him.I don't know that there is more to say privately at this time, but if there is, or if I might be of any help from a local perspective, please email me at email@example.com
